On Saturday night, we made our way to the Key Club in West Hollywood as Chrisette Michele (one of my all-time favorite artists) was performing. Tix were $29.50 (general)/$40 (VIP). For $10 more, might as well! Problem 1: Doors were supposed to open at 7p but we didn’t get in till more like 8:30p! And it was cold!

We thought VIP access gave us access to seats. Turned out, if you wanted to sit, you had to pay for a table ($100-300) and after standing outside for almost two hours, seats were necessary so… we paid.

We’re in. We’re seated. Now to order… Food was ok; Drinks were strong; So because we had $200 to spend, we ate a little & drank… alot! Lol.

We suffered through 3 hours of opening acts! I won’t name them (mostly cause I can’t remember their names) but from horrible outfits to horrible voices, we could not wait for Chrisette Michele! She didn’t come on until 11:30p but she was everything I expected and more…

Pros: Chrisette was spectacular!; Our waitress was cool; That’s about it!

Cons: “VIP” management; price for tables; despite all tickets saying doors open at 7p, club still didn’t open till 8:30
